How to pair your Bluetooth fitness watch with your phone

How to pair your watch with your phone via Bluetooth
On your phone, enable Bluetooth.
Open the app that corresponds with your watch.
Find the ‘discover watch’ function – if it doesn’t pop up during the initial setup, you’ll usually find it in the app’s settings.

On your watch, make sure Bluetooth is enabled. Consult the manual if you’re not sure how – you won’t need to do anything for some models. For others, you’ll have to hold a button or restart the watch.
Keep an eye on your phone. Once it has found your watch, the model name should appear on the screen.
Tap the name of your watch and select ‘pair’.
Now wait. The process can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Matching codes should appear on both your phone and the watch to confirm that the devices have paired.
Optional: When prompted, tap ‘enable notifications’ to control the way your watch interacts with your phone. You should also be able to control notifications in your phone’s settings.

Stepping it up: Activity tracker watches
Ideal for budding athletes and gym enthusiasts, a Bluetooth activity tracker can help you shape a healthy lifestyle by tallying your steps, monitoring your sleep and counting the calories you burn each day – and making this information easily visible to you by connecting to a smartphone app.
