Huawei capped off a big announcement event in China earlier today where we saw the debut of the brand’s new smartwatch lineup, Windows 2-in1 tablet, VR glasses and desktop PC. There was a new phone on stage too – a Collector’s Edition Mate X2.The Huawei mate x2 comes with a fast charging 55w and it also has Huawei Supercharge.
The new bit here is the leather back which comes in red, black and white colors. Huawei is also using a nano-crystalline enforced glass material on the outer screen which should be more durable. The Collector’s Edition Mate X2 comes in a single 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration and retails for CNY 19,699 ($3,090). First sales in China are scheduled for December.Also the Huawei Mate x2 has an IR blaster and infrared port.
The rest of the spec sheet matched the regular Mate X2 with an 8-inch main OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s a Kirin 9000 5G chipset at the helm so 5G connectivity is on board. The camera setup on the back includes a 50MP main camera alongside a 12MP telephoto lens, an 8MP periscope module and 16MP ultrawide snapper. You also get a 4,500 mAh battery with 55W charging. The software side is covered by HarmonyOS 2.
