Laughter – The best balm

Did you know that 15 minutes of laughing per day can help you lose weight? Laughing burns up to 40 calories says a research study. Did you also know that Adults laugh about 15 – 30 times per day. Females laugh slightly more than men and babies, laugh 300 times per day? Now, you do.

Laughter goes beyond just displaying your 32 or just smiles. Having a good laugh that vibrates in your inner beings is agreeably very liberating and refreshing. Laughters could be said to be contagious, as in most cases during an outing, a party, thanksgiving, dinner, etc when one person laughs over a bad joke or an incident, there is usually one or two chorus who follow suit. It is also fun to share a good laugh even over drinks, when with family, lover and friends.

Laughter is crucial for living happy lives, but could also be a problem when done excessively. Though, that is a topic for another day. Laughing is inspired by a number of things both good and bad.

An adage says “laugh until your belly hurts and then just a bit more”

People who laugh easily are most usually exhibiting the following traits:

-Forgiving nature

-Mostly immune to health challenges

Which brings me to the question, “How often do you laugh?” it’s weird how some persons rate and grade maturity through the lens of an ability to resist laughter both in a social setting or in a formal setting. Civilization seems to eat deep in the wrong fabrication within the minds of some people, denying them the ability to truly be happy and experience the effectiveness of the best balm in existence, otherwise called laughter.
