Animal rescue group organizations dedicated to the rescue of animals, including pets, from shelters, to homes
This is different from pet keeping, and very different from animals extinction.
Animal rescue could simply be referred to as animal saving. This is mostly connected with animals that can be domesticated such as dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs, goats and for some odd reasons they’re found to be in a distress situation where they needs some help, attention and care.
In Africa, this seems not to be a common practice. The response to animal rescue is solely on personal grounds, there is hardly any group or body dedicated to such responsibilities, for reasons unknown.
Yet we have organisations dedicated to such monitoring, why they aren’t effective is still something to ponder on. This could help to control the loss of domestic animals complained mostly by the locals in many communities and will also guard against unnecessary wandering and loitering promoted by the owners. Once this is properly controlled there’s limit to an unclean environment littered by faeces or the just outright carelessness.
There’s also conservation of these animals for rearing leading to efficient food supply and dairy products at subsidized amounts to the public. Hence ensuring better food security for the masses.
In festive periods like this, the benefits cannot be overemphasized and living standard remains affordable.
