We all have something we like doing, something we enjoy, something that we get all wrapped up in any time we are on it, something that we are naturally skilled in, and something that gives us satisfaction and purpose, that thing is most likely our hobbies. From dancing, to singing, to drawing, to acrobatics, to writing, to sporting activities, to swimming etc. Hobbies are diverse and if developed and polished where required it could effectively pay a bill.
Is your hobby handling a bill or two? If your answer to that is a Yes, then you are a good example for this topic but if your answer is No then this article is for you and its essence cannot be overemphasized. First of, what is worthy of note is that “whatever your hobby maybe it could be maximized and monetized”.
An adage says find three hobbies you love, one to make you money, one to keep you in shape, and one to be creative. From the above adage, it shows that is essential that you monetize your hobbies. Hobbies they say are an addiction first you do it for fun, next you do it for the money.
When talking about converting your hobbies into something that doesn’t just exist for free and fun, but to settle those bills. You do not necessarily have to have a white collar job, you could convert that activity you are naturally good at into a beautiful source of paying your bills may be temporarily or even permanently.
Quick illustration: Zinny is a twenty year old young girl in law school but her Clara like a couple of her friends who have had the privilege of seeing what she does in private, claims it’s mind blowing. One occasion Jerry had inquired what she was doing in Las school, when her arts could be all she really needed to hit the spotlight and smile home with thousands of dollars. Zinny had never quite thought about it or considered herself that good. Until one of the days, a colleague from her mom’s office came visiting and couldn’t resist buying one of the numerous art work, which eventually brought her more attention and sealed deals.
Most of us like Zinny, do not recognize our hobbies are our treasures. So, we go looking for treasures elsewhere instead of grooming what we already have to be what we wish them to be, especially have them foot that bill.
